No thumbscrew. . .no magnets. . .no problems! The freedom ring employs the power of a strong extension spring to provide even fabric tension while embroidering. Available for many different brands of hoops, this outer ring will replace the outer ring for Allied, Durkee, Happy, Melco, SWF, Sew Many Parts Hoops, Tajima, and Toyota.

Freedom Ring™ User Instructions
Using a polo shirt as an example, insert the Freedom Ring™ into the shirt (with stabilizer if needed) in the proper location. The inside top edge of the Freedom Ring™ is beveled. Thus, the embroiderer need only press the inner ring into the Freedom Ring™. As the embroiderer presses in, the Freedom Ring™ begins to separate while holding even tension on the embroiderable. After inserting the inner ring fully into the Freedom Ring™, recess the Freedom Ring™ by pressing the inner ring slightly lower than the outer ring and the shirt is ready for embroidery.
If pressing the inner ring into the Freedom Ring™ is too difficult or strenuous for the embroiderer, follow these instructions:
Using a towel as an example, hold the Freedom Ring™ chest high with the Yellow Locking Pin pointed up and on the right side. There is a cap covering the ends of the spring on both the left and right sides. With one hand on the left side cap and one hand on the right side cap, begin pulling the Freedom Ring™ apart. With the two sides pulled apart approximately 1 ¼”, the YELLOW LOCKING PIN will click into place locking the hoop in the open position. Place the open hoop (with stabilizer if needed) under the towel. With the Freedom Ring™ in the desired location, insert the inner ring into the Freedom Ring™. With the inner ring fully inserted into the Freedom Ring™, pull out on the YELLOW LOCKING PIN and the Freedom Ring™ will close securely around the embroiderable. Recess the Freedom Ring™ by pressing the inner ring slightly lower than the outer ring and the towel is ready for embroidery.
